CLIMACTIC DILEMMA

Perpetually looking for answers

Welcome to Climactic Dilemma, a collection of my random thoughts and realizations for you to explore. I decided to put up this blog site so I could take into account all the things I stumble upon and learn from as I go along with my journey in life. I started using 'Climactic Dilemma' as my sig for my editorial column section at The Adamson Chronicle, the official student publication of Adamson University, where I graduated. 'Climax' means the highest point of emotional intensity in a story, while 'dilemma' is a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made. This just signifies how I've experienced the hardest decisions at the peak moments in my life.

Film Review #5: The 10 Years of Bayaniverse (2015–2025)

A decade ago, filmmaker Jerrold Tarog envisioned creating a cinematic universe similar to Marvel and DC, but centered on Filipino national heroes. At a time when audiences eagerly followed their favorite comic book superheroes on the big screen, Tarog and his team at TBA Studios believed that this shared excitement could be replicated beyond the imaginary—by portraying the lives of real people and the events that shaped our history.

Film Review #4: Sunshine (2024)

The film is bold in conveying that abortion is not something taken lightly. It remains to be easier said than done, even for a woman who is slammed against a wall and pressured to just give up and get rid of the life growing inside her. When you think it's nothing but selfish to even consider abortion, Sunshine reminds us that it takes countless hours of overthinking and self-doubt before coming to a final decision.
